Malwina Konopacka is an illustrator and designer who has been creating decorative objects in the form of stylized ceramic vases since 2014. Her first series, which she continues developing, is called OKO, and each piece displays concavities that are treated with color, drawings or details of a face, particularly the eye.
Having graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and with a degree in illustration from the University of Berlin, Malwina regularly works with the Polish press and since 2014 has been participating in various exhibitions (in Warsaw, New York, Milan) to present OKO.
Her ceramic vases are hand-painted one-off or limited edition creations in which we find the influence of traditional Polish porcelain through the use of white and cobalt blue, as well as patterns reminiscent of the 60s.
Malwina's latest series "Jungle" is composed of 20 vases characterized by motifs of leaves, palms, bananas and cacti, which combine the green hue of modern illustrations with classic English porcelain. The collection also includes two homages to French painter Henry Rousseau and 10 designs with golden elements.
