Paris Fashion Week: The Final Day With Louis Vuitton

The shoes they bought new at the outset are scuffed and covered in Tuileries dust, their spirits are trampled and visions of puffa coats and velvet swim before them even when their eyes are closed. But congratulations to you, weary show-goers: You’ve made it to Fashion Month’s final day.

There are only a handful of shows on the agenda before the crowds disperse. Starting the morning is Louis Vuitton at 10 a.m., once again at the palatial Fondation Louis Vuitton in the Bois de Boulogne. Vuitton always trucks in a handful of its favorite starlets. Might Alicia Vikander, the Swedish actress, Vuitton campaign star and newly minted Oscar winner be among them?

At noon, Moncler takes over the Grand Palais’s Salon d’Honneur for its Gamme Rouge show, designed by Giambattista Valli, who juggles his multiple collections (for Moncler, for his namesake label, for the secondary collection Giamba) with seeming ease. (Though odds are, at the end of this fashion week, he’ll be even more tired than the attendees).

The day finishes up with Miuccia Prada’s Miu Miu at 2 p.m., the hip little sister to Prada’s Milanese lady. It was a banner show for Prada lo these two weeks ago. If Miu Miu repeats the trick, it’ll be a fine grace note to end the season.
